Smashing Times International Centre for the Arts and Equality – Visual Art Gallery and Centre for the Arts and Human Rights

Smashing Times International Centre for the Arts and Equality is an award-winning international creative arts organisation and arts space dedicated to the promotion, study and practice of the arts for equality, human rights and diversity. Our mission is to lead the development of the arts to promote and advance equality and human rights and to connect citizens to the arts, human rights, climate justice, gender equality, diversity, democracy and peace, working with artists and local communities and communities of interest to create collaborative art practice in local, national, European and international settings. Smashing Times International Centre for the Arts and Equality have a physical, multifunctional  arts space at 30 Sandycove Road, Dublin, A96V9P1. The centre is a multi-purpose art space serving as both a Smashing Times Visual Art Gallery and the Smashing Times Arts and Human Rights Centre, operating as a venue for rehearsals, workshops, and live, public events.

Smashing Times core services consist of a Visual Art Gallery and Centre for the Arts and Human Rights and the delivery of an annual and multi-annual interdisciplinary arts programme promoting professional and collaborative, participatory arts practice and a youth arts ensemble. All artistic mediums are supported with a focus on the performing and collaborative arts including theatre, film, visual arts, dance, music, photography and digital arts practice. The company produces the annual International Irish Arts and Human Rights Festival (October each year) and manages an Arts and Human Rights Resource and Advice service, a European Arts and Human Rights Membership and Networking Agency, an Artist Professional Development and training programme, a virtual online art gallery and a youth arts ensemble. The company produces Tintreach: the Smashing Times Arts and Literary Journal (out quarterly); the Smashing Times Newsletter (out monthly); and the Smashing Times Arts and Human Rights radio show (out weekly).
