Ceardlann Cumadh Amhrán Fighting Words (dátheangach) – Maireann an cheardlann seo ar feadh dhá uair an chloig.
Scríobhann an grúpa dhá véarsaí ríme i ngrúpaí beaga sa chéad leath den seisiún, agus ansin sa dara leath, cuirimid na véarsaí seo ar fad le chéile mar lioracaí den t-amhrán an grúpa. Briseann muid síos na lioracaí i Véarsa 1, Cúrfa, Véarsa 2, agus Droichead.
Ag deireadh na ceardlainne, chanann muid an t-amhrán le chéile agus déanaimid taifeadadh air.
Fighting Words Song Writing Workshop (bilingual) – This workshop lasts for two hours.
The group writes two rhyming couplets in small groups in the first half of the session, and then in the second half, we put all these verses together as the lyrics of the group’s song. We break down the lyrics into Verse 1, Chorus, Verse 2, and Bridge.
At the end of the workshop, we sing the song together and record it.

Ola Majekodunmi is Fighting Word’s Irish language project co-ordinator, that runs Irish language/ bilingual creative storytelling and playwrighting workshops with schools around the country outside the Gaeltacht area. As an organisation we’re mostly focused on DEIS schools, giving young people a space outside of the school curriculum to use their imagination and develop their writing skills. We do this work with the help of our amazing volunteers.
