Forgotten Sides of Trinity with Author Warren Farrell
Forgotten Sides of Trinity with Author Warren Farrell
Warren Farrell, Coordinator for Trinity Access Programmes and author of “So Once Was I: Forgotten Tales from Glasnevin Cemetery” will give an historical walking tour focused on the lesser visited spots on the campus of Trinity College to celebrate Dublin Learning City. Please note spaces are reserved for community partners.
In this event Warren will combine his outreach work in Trinity with his passion for History for an hour-long walking tour of Trinity College Dublin exploring some of the hidden sides and stories from the campus. As well as working in TAP, Warren has worked as a tour guide in Glasnevin cemetery since 2016. In 2024 he published “So Once Was I: Forgotten Tales from Glasnevin Cemetery” which sets out to celebrate the quirky, strange and sometimes unbelievable tales of lesser-known figures in Ireland’s famous cemetery. Warren will bring this sense of intrigue to this special tour of Trinity where attendees will learn some lesser-known tales from the oldest university in Ireland.
Please note community partners have reserved places on this tour but should places become available we will let you know. We also have additional free historical walking tours taking place on Wednesday during the festival with Trinity Trails so please email [email protected] to register your interest. Please note his tour is aimed at adult learners and is not suitable for young children.

Organiser
Trinity Access Programme (TAP)’s mission is to work in partnership across the education sector with students, teachers, families, communities and businesses to widen access and participation at third-level for under represented groups. We offer a range of access programmes for people with the enthusiasm, motivation, and ability to succeed at third-level. We engage with communities and schools in low progression areas to encourage a positive mindset and support real steps towards going to University. Our programmes range from primary school students right through to postgraduates.
