Practical Language Service Movie Night in Schoolhouse Saggart
Last Wednesday of the month (but a bonus night in respect to Dublin Learning City Festival 2025) we show a free movie with some linguistic or cultural relevance, after which we discuss the language used and cultural references. Organiser
Practical Language Service is a charitable organization that provides English language classes and other supports to adult immigrants living in Ireland, free of charge. Currently we operate eight sessions across six locations in the city. We cater for all nationalities, all levels and all needs. We don’t have a minimum entry level and we always make space for newcomers. We have in excess of 2,800 member on Facebook, 40 active volunteers and around 300 active students in a given week. As well as classes we also run numerous inclusive projects, designed to help our members adapt to their new surroundings and develop new social circles.
