Responding to Racism in the Community – Bystander Intervention Training

Responding to Racism in the Community – Bystander Intervention Training
As part of Dublin Learning City Festival 2025, IADT’s EDI unit is hosting a Bystander Intervention Training session. Delivered by IADT’s Dignity & Respect Officer, this session will focus on how to recognise racist behaviours and microaggressions, and how to intervene and challenge racism in safe and productive ways.
What is Bystander Intervention Training?
Bystander Intervention Training is a practical skills workshop that aims to highlight the danger of normalizing and accepting abusive behaviour within the community. This training provides participants with the key skills needed to know how to recognise racist behaviours and microaggressions, safely intervene in situations where harm is being caused and report instances of racism.
Please note, this session will include references to assault, abuse and discrimination. Support services will be signposted throughout the session.
This session will run online. Once registered, a link to the webinar will be emailed to you.
